SAM-Insights rendszer

A SAM-Insights rendszer egyes moduljai a szoftvergazdálkodás különböző területeit támogatják.

ACDC modul

Szkenneléssel nem mérhető felhasználási adatok automatizált gyűjtése

Collecting network dataSzoftvergazdálkodási, licencelési szempontból nemcsak az összetett szerverkörnyezet, bonyolult infrastruktúra, felhő alapú és hagyományos megoldások együttes alkalmazása jelenthet kihívást, hanem sok esetben a látszólag egyszerűbb, kliensoldali termékek licencigényének meghatározása is. Megkülönböztetett figyelmet érdemel a nem telepítésszám alapján licencelendő termékek megfelelősége, amikor a szoftverhasználat mértékének pontos meghatározása számos olyan adat kinyerését igényli, ami a munkaállomások és a szerverek felmérésével nem állapítható meg. Ilyenek lehetnek például:
  • a nem telepítésszám alapján licencelendő termékek használati metrikái (pl. felhasználószám),
  • egy termék aktivált moduljainak listája (pl. Oracle Database opciók),
  • sőt a telepített komponensekkel nem is rendelkező szerverelérések (pl. Microsoft Core CAL).

A SAM-Insights Advanced Central Data Collector (ACDC) modulja

BMail modul

üzemeltetési szempontú jellemzők is.

ORCA for SAM-Insights

Az Oracle-felmérés sajátosságai

Az Oracle Database szoftvercsalád felmérése eltér a telepített fájlok alapján azonosítható szoftverekétől: egyrészt nemcsak a telepített funkciók határozzák meg a licencigényt, hanem belső konfigurációs beállítások, illetve a hardverkörnyezet is. Másrészt jellemzően Linux, illetve UNIX környezetben használják őket.

Az Oracle aktív audittevékenysége, illetve a felhasználók többségének véleménye szerint nehezen átlátható licencfeltételek jelentős anyagi kockázatot rejtenek nem megfelelő használat esetén. Nagyvállalati környezetben ugyanakkor a szoftvervagyon jelentős részét tehetik ki az Oracle-licencek, így a szoftvergazdálkodási feladatok támogatása, automatizálása iránti igény is számottevő.

A SAM-Insights for Oracle eszköz

A fenti speciális igények alapján konfigurált és kifejlesztett SAM-Insights for Oracle eszközt tipikusan 30-50 Oracle DB szerver mérettől ajánljuk önálló megoldásként vagy a SAM-Insights alaprendszerrel integráltan.

A SAM-Insights for Oracle a gyártó Database termékkörének egyedi sajátosságaira nyújt megoldást és teszi lehetővé a felhasználás szerződésszerű megállapítását.

A felmérés eredményei

A SAM-Insights for Oracle láthatóvá teszi a szoftverhasználatot. Ennek eredményeképpen:

  • az üzemeltetők megismerhetik az adatbázisukkal kapcsolatos licencköteles felhasználást,
  • a licencmenedzser látja a felhasználásból adódó licencigényt,
  • az informatikai vezetés számára az eredmények alapján a kockázatkerülő stratégia helyett megnyílik a tényleges gazdálkodás lehetősége az Oracle licencvagyonnal.

A pontos információk alapján tanácsadóink segítségével megismerhetővé válnak az audit kockázatok és azok licencelési rendezésének lehetőségei. A felmért adatok alapján elkezdhető a felhasználás és infrastruktúra licencelési szempontú optimalizációja, a működési és beruházási költségcsökkentés érdekében.

Dr. Telek Eszter

Mindent tud a szoftver szerzői jogról és a licencekről, még olyanokat is, amit maga a szoftver gyártója sem. A munkában szerzett tapasztalatait folyamatos tanulási, kutatási mániájával igyekszik bővíteni; rendszeresen publikál, illetve előadásokat tart szoftverjogi és az infokommunikációs jogterületet érintő egyéb kérdésekről.

A Pécsi Tudományegyetemen szerzett infokommunikációs szakjogász diplomája megszerzését követően PhD kutatást kezdett az ELTE Jogi Karán, ahol a nyílt forráskódú szoftverekkel és a szerzői művek közkincsbe bocsátásával foglakozik.

Szabadidejében lehetőség szerint sokfelé utazik (ennek érdekében igyekszik tökélyre fejleszteni a törvényes szabadnapok felhasználásának módozatait), emellett szívesen olvas, jár színházba, moziba, és - kollégái nyomása ellenére - igyekszik ellenállni a Star Wars és Indiana Jones filmek maratonszerű megtekintésének.

He speaks the language of database systems at conversation level, yet he is confident with backend development as well.

From a young age, he was interested in making movies and digital video editing very much that he was only able to pursue in his free time. He is very proud of his pre-youtube pirate video called "Barkas vs. Barkas" which he won an award for with his friends in 1998. He spends his spare time with his family, he is fond of American cars. His hobby is preparing exotic food. And when not exercising all these, he reads legal literature.

Sándor Zsoldos

Zsoldos Sándor

He is one of the founders of IPR-Insights.

Working for the biggest software producer in the world, he figured that the modern version of the old phrase saying "set a thief to catch a thief" is "get a thief as a consultant to catch a thief" (obviously, we would not like to hurt anyone's feelings, we can't help the phrase goes like that - ed.).

In his spare time, he does woodworking (at learner level), takes photos (fairly well), or reads books (quite well). He doesn't have more spare time as he's the proud father of three beautiful children.
